Curse Breaker - Mystical Realm of Aether (Book 1) - Prologue

The world is divided into two distinct regions, one ruled by humans, and the other by magical creatures. The mystical realm of Aether. In the beginning, the magical realm was in chaos, with magic flowing freely, unrestricted, and uncontrolled. Magical creatures roamed freely, and there was no structure or order in the realm. While the powerful took advantage of the weak, others tried to use their power to obtain more power. In the realm the hunger for power lead to corruption, oppression, and inequality.

The elders realized that there needed to be a central force that governed the magical realm and maintained the balance between the different magical entities. They created the Arcanum Solis and imbued it with Eternum, a mystical soul that had the power to govern the realm and keep the magic in check.

The Arcanum Solis was pure and powerful, and it was meant to be passed on to each successive ruler of the magical realm. It was the responsibility of the ruler to maintain the balance of magic and ensure the magical entities coexisted in harmony. Over time, the Arcanum Solis became the symbol of the magical realm’s power, and its importance was recognized and respected by all. It became the heart of the realm, and the Eternum within it was the driving force that kept the magic in balance. But the Arcanum Solis was not invincible, and those who coveted its power plotted to steal it for themselves.

Aether flourished as a world of wonder and enchantment. It was a place where mythical creatures such as dragons, shifters, unicorns, griffins, and many more roamed free. It was filled with lush forests, towering mountains, and sparkling rivers. The magical realm was protected by a powerful barrier that kept humans out, so the magic may remain hidden and protected.

For centuries, the orb remained safe, guarded by those who understood its power and its importance. But one day, everything changed, a great darkness fell over Aether, a powerful curse created for the sole purpose of wiping away the magic of the realm.

The curse was a dark and ancient magic that was crafted by a powerful mage who had been exiled from the magical realm centuries ago. The mage was consumed by hatred and resentment towards the magical creatures and their realm, and he crafted the curse as a means of exacting revenge. The curse caused a powerful energy drain throughout Aether, weakening the magical creatures and rendering their powers ineffective. The curse was designed to last for a period of time, during which the magical realm will be vulnerable to attack and invasion by outside forces.

The effects of the curse were felt by every magical creature in the realm, causing them to become weak and lethargic. The magic that once flowed freely throughout the realm was now limited, and spells and incarnations that were once easy to perform became difficult or impossible.

The realm fell into disarray and chaos once again, and the magical creatures were forced to fend for themselves.

In the human realm, most had no knowledge of the magical realm and believed that magic was just a myth or a legend. The men who knew seized the weakened state of Aether, strategizing attacks. The conflict between the realms was as old as time. Humans view magic as a threat and seek to eliminate it, while the magical creatures viewed humans as inferior and seek to preserve their own way of life. Along with the power struggle between the realms as both seek to expand their territory and influence, leading to conflicts and battles.
